Publicity is a key element of keeping Scouting at the forefront of people's minds. Not only as a tool to attract members but also to help people understand what we are doing. It isn't just about knots and badges. We need to take a higher profile. Annual events include:- The Annual Gala Day This is a Group event run by Scouts and explorers for the local Community. The Group Camp An annual event where we try and include as many as possible in the activities. The Bonfire Party We have been running Bonfire Parties for 20 plus years and lately we have started to develop them into a bit of a show. West Fest This was a one off co-operation with the local authority and whilst it was a success, we did about 90 per cent of the work and the local youth services took the glory. Sadly, never again. Our Scouts have also been on trips to Dusseldorf and Koln Ghana Mexico Alsace Not forgetting Yorkshire At Home
