Site Update

The Explorers' Danger Devils area now has a Gallery , also new additions to the Cub Gallery and the Kayak Gallery now runs to two pages.

News!!! -  Bonfire Night Stunner

Despite abysmal weather in the run-up to bonfire night the rain held off whilst the site was set up.  The usual stalls and the fire display team drew in crowds, and the event finished with a 30 minute firework display as the heavens opened. The event raised approx. £1200 to keep the Group afloat, thank you to all who supported us. See you all next year for a bigger and better, and hopefully drier event!

News!!!   - Kayaking

Ruaridh has passed his Level Three and complted his White Water Safety Course. Ewan and Fiona have recovered from assorted ailments and kayaking wil be back in full swing in the 2009.

Clayton West Scout Groupwas revived in the early 1970's continuing Scouting in Clayton West and Scissett from the 1920's.We have a long heritage and we hope that Scouting will be a part of the local community long into the future.

Our members come mainly from Clayton West, but we also draw from Denby Dale, Emley, Scissett, Skelmanthorpe, Shelley, High Hoyland and Lepton.

Ages range from 6 upwards and we are mixed sex throughout the Group.

We have no affiliations to any religious body and offer an open membership based around traditional principles which we believe are common to all beliefs.
